What I've been working on

I've been busy making multiple outfits and plans for the store. Looking for decent and long term scripters for the things I need is tough, but things are progressing fine. I have a backlog of a ton of outfits, but I've been going back through some of them and retouching them up to look much better since I'm constantly improving my photoshop skillz. I'm also juggling my college classes and other RL stuff, but I am working on stuff at least 1 to 2 hours a day with a break here and there.

Started doing GACHA

So I've finally decided to give this whole GACHA thing a try. You pay a small amount of $L and you win a random prize with a chance to win a something "rare". In my case, you get a chance to win everything!

New outfit! Clubbin Girl Mini Dress

I've been busy today! I've made some new outfits, one of which is now up for sale. A super short dress with 16 different colors. I actually had to make them twice because there was a slight problem with them at first. So I had to remake them, completely changing the way they look (for the better).

I've also been working on getting a better work flow so I can make a bunch of stuff and have a steady stream of content releasing, including free content. I'll probably start doing Gatcha machines as well. In the meantime, here's a profile picture I've been working on (added shadows in photoshop)

Store Changes

Alright, with the new Vlog and youtube channel, I've been thinking about making other changes for the better. If you read my post About TOO Much, then you know I mentioned I have to make just around 200+ appliers for a single outfit.

So I've decided to only use Omega Applier from now on. It would take me hours and hours just to make one outfit so releasing things just took forever. If I'm only doing Omega which works with 99% of ALL mesh bodies, butts, breasts, etc etc, I can get my outfits up for sale faster! Right now I have about 50 different outfits (16 colors each) and I haven't even uploaded them all to SL yet. So for those of you who aren't using Omega, I suggest you get on board. It's super easy to do. Some products work with omega out of the box. Some work with Omega via a script and others work by wearing a special hud.

So with this change,it means new outfits can come out faster and FREE outfits can come out more frequently!

About TOO Much

When I decided to make a clothing store, I already knew a few things. I knew I mesh body parts going to be a huge deal when Brazilia came around. Because it proved that Avatars were now going to have a lot more shapes and sizes to choose from, especially when it comes to larger curvier shapes. I also knew that I wanted to focus mainly on skimpy clothing because we already so many great stores that provide things like casual outfits, costumes, uniforms, high fashion, etc etc. What I like to put on my avatar was hard to come by. Not to mention it was hard to find anything that supported mesh bodies around that time, especially skimpy clothing.

The Aim of TOO Much has always been to provide skimpy clothing that fits absolutely every avatar shape possible, no matter how big, small, or uniquely shaped. I've felt that it was hard to find clothing that was both sexy and overly skimpy without being straight up stripper clothes. I wanted something that people couple wear pretty much anywhere they went in Second Life. You probably wouldn't want to go to a serious professional setting in one of our dresses, but as far as hanging out, shopping, exploring, our outfits are perfect for those who like wearing super skimpy outfits without just blatantly showing everything off.

On top of making everyday skimpy clothing, I wanted to make sure that we provided as many colors as possible for people to have. I've made it a point to not sell each color as a separate outfit. All 8 to 16 colors is considered one fit in my store. So instead of trying to figure out which outfit and color you want, you get all the colors for one price. As of December 2015, I've decided to make all future outfits at least have 16 or more color and pattern options.

I also wanted to make sure I supported as many mesh bodies and butts as possible. I know I should I probably just support Omega, but I know there are plenty of people who either refuse to use it or it's too complicated for them. So I've decided to continue to directly support appliers along with Omega. There might be a point in the future where I switch to Omega. just imagine my work load. 16 colors spread across 12 different applies just for one outfit. It's kind of crazy, but it's worth it. I thought long and hard (that's what she said) about how to price my outfits, as settled on a cheaper price. I knew I wanted to sell everything in "fatpack" form for a singular price. So that is why my outfits are cheap in price even if they were to come in one color compared to other places. I thought about it from a consumer point of view. If you've shopped at certain places in Second Life before that sell a ton of quality items for cheap, you know how fun it can be.

One of our other goals is to make sure we eventually have a ton of outfits to choose from. As of this posting (Jan 26, 2016) we have about 80 different things for sale not including free stuff. It's my hope to have hundreds of different outfits, each with up to 16 different colors that come with them. The future of TOO Much is a giant store filled with clothing that ranges from casual skimpy clothes, fantasy skimpy clothes, sci fi skimpy clothes, skimpy uniforms, bikinis, skimpy costumes, etc etc. I want to have so many things that one person couldn't see it all in one sitting!

The name TOO Much comes from the fact that we have a policy that states, There's no such thing as showing "TOO Much" skin and no such thing as having "TOO Much Booty". No matter what your avatar looks like, you can wear as much or as little as you want.

About me

Not sure how long if this blog will last long, but I wanted to find a way for all my customers to keep up to date with what I'm doing. Things like what I'm working on, maybe my process of working on things, ideas that I have and such.

Currently I'm working on some swimwear, something TOO Much has been lacking. My goal is to create every type of clothing you can think of with my personal flair as well as many varieties of those clothing types. I'll post a more detailed story about TOO Much at a later date. For now, I'll tell you a little about myself, mainly pertaining to Second Life.

My name in Second Life is Value Runo. In real life, I'm an art student and like to dabble in just about everything like painting, digital painting, 3D modeling, video editing, and things like that. I also play around in photoshop. I love video games, mostly open world games that let me create my own character. If I can't make my own character, I'm always going to wait for a price drop with a few exceptions. So as you can imagine, I love games like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. I used to love MMORPGs when I was younger, but as I've gotten older, not only do I have less time for them, they've also changed in a way that they've become these massive anti-social single player busy work simulations. So I play them less often these days. The only ones I find myself playing are TERA for at least a week or two after a major update solely because of its combat and Champions Online after a FreeForm slot was given away for free solely because of its character creation system.

I started Second Life with my friends back in 2007. I discovered it one day when looking for free 3D game makers. Ever since I was about 12 or 13 years old, I wanted to make video games because I loved them so much. I played around with things like RPG Maker  and still do to this day (2000, 2003, xp, vx, vx ace, and now MV). I can't remember exactly, but I found Second Life being talked about in an article and it mentioned you could build stuff and make money and such. Just like all of us who start playing Second Life, I was interested and also confused. Me and my friends played around in it. Met some people and found out what kind of things people have made. Then we stopped playing it for like 5 months because it was confusing and we didn't want to put money in it just to try it, lol.

So 5 months go by, and I stumble on yet another article mentioning Second Life and it talks about how you can get free stuff (Freebies) within the game because people ran these free places. So I make a new account, fresh start and all that. then I visit these freebie places and get clothes and skin and hair and a ton of stuff. It was amazing. I told my friends about it and we all sat around my apartment with our computers in Second Life figuring stuff out. Back when it was still legal and permitted in Second Life, we made a casino and freebie area did pretty well. We took different paths pretty much doing our own things but still keeping our group projects. One of my friends took to scripting and making various crazy things. another friend took to building weapons (something I do as well), and eventually I took to making clothes (and shopping, lol)

I mainly made clothes for our Freebie area, giving us unique freebies that no one else had. Back in the early days, everyone just had the freebies to give out. But since we were making some of our own stuff, we had the largest amount of custom made exclusive freebies. Many of you have likely been to that freebie place. It has been under many names. If you've gotten skimpy freebie clothing before, then it's most likely been made by me, Value Runo.

Eventually, I decided why not make my own clothing store. Put in a lot more effort and make things I'd like to wear in Second life that I rarely see. Around this time the product PhatAzz came out which started the mesh butt and legs industry and eventually mesh bodies. I remember messaging the creator and asking if they'd ever consider making a bigger butt or at least a different shape, but after a few weeks, I just got a simple "No" answer. so I never bothered with it. Then Brazilia by Sking came around and that's when I knew I had to start up the clothing store. Mesh breasts also came around at that time. So I decided to make my clothing store and Support all 3. Then over time more and more mesh butts came out and eventually mesh bodies. the rest is history.

I'm often asked what body do I use and what skin do I use. In various pictures that you might see of my avatar, I've been using Wideloads and Venus meh breasts. I've also been using various Brazilias. Current,y right now I use a Brazilia 4 Body with the Venus FitMesh breasts. as for the skin, it's a custom skin I purchased from a creator and then modified myself. Their store is no longer open and I believe they've stopped playing Second Life. I like to tell people to just buy skin creation kids and try making your own skin. Or find a creator you like and pester them into making something custom for you, just be ready to spend the $L!

A little more about myself, I only wear natural hair such as afros, braids, and dreads. I like skimpy clothes because it's Second Life and why not. I also have to be in the process of making something anywhere or else i'm not content. Whether it's making something in Second Life, making a mod for skyrim, drawing, whatever, I have to be in a state of creating something. I'm not a perfectionist at all, and am approachable. So if you have any questions, just IM me in Second Life. I know a lot of content creators can seem intimidating and many probably do hate getting messaged, but I love direct feed back and questions because it lets me know what people want. So don't be afraid to ask questions. Chances are, they've been asked.
